The Château
Château Plagne was built between 1600 and 1720. From the very beginning, the former vineyard belonged to the Bonnevals, a distant branch of the House of Navarre, from which King Henry lV, King of France (1589 – 1610) also descended.
The property, which was purchased by the Schriever family in 1998, is located in the hamlet of Plagne with 15 houses, not far from the small town of Bétaille. There you will find everything you need for everyday life: Butcher, baker, post office and a small supermarket.

The region
The fascination of this region is easy to see, because, in addition to the proverbial delights of regional cuisine, you can also enjoy a lovely and varied landscape.
The landscape is dominated by the Dordogne, one of the longest rivers in France at 490 km. The Dordogne is a natural river and labelled as a World Biosphere Reserve and one of the most popular waterways in France.
Guest rooms
We offer our guests two rooms in the main building. Here you will feel as individually accommodated as with friends. The tastefully and individually furnished rooms have been renovated with great attention to detail. In the lounge with an open fireplace, every guest can find their vacation reading in the large library.

Vacation homes
The “Maison Bonneval” is directly adjacent to our main building – Château Plagne – and is the former barn of the estate.
The “Maison Soleil” was built on the same site as the Maison Rose in 2005.
The “Maison Rose” formerly a farmhouse made of natural stone and built at the beginning of the 19th century, exudes the rural charm of regional architecture.
The “Pigeon Tower – Les Trois Chênes”, on a plot of 4,500 square meters, nestles against the walnut groves and every glance takes in the picturesque natural surroundings.
The “Pigeon Tower – Le Truffier” at our large truffle plantation is an oasis of peace and tranquility.
